Listen to Excerpts from DISSECTING CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST

I have recorded and posted a couple of brief excerpts from my book Dissecting Cannibal Holocaust. The publisher has no plans for an audiobook but Dissecting Cannibal Holocaust will be available in paperback on November 26, 2026. The book is currently available in hardcover and ebook editions.

The first excerpt is the introduction to Dissecting Cannibal Holocaust in which I explain why I wrote it, what I hope readers get out of it, and preview the content and scope of the book.

The second audio excerpt is from Chapter 8 of Dissecting Cannibal Holocaust which examines the film’s place in the horror genre. This section, titled “The Pleasure of Horror,” explores why we enjoy horror and violent entertainment and under what specific circumstances.
